Emil, Are all csmfn.children() functions breaking or only the ones that take a nodeType as an argument?
Make sure that your custom node type "data" is registered on the public instance. You typically register custom workspaces and node types in a module descriptor. Did you install the content app on the public instance using the module mechanism? Or did you just activate the app configuration?
