You can create your configuration in Magnolia and then export XML files via the web interface. You can also do this programmatically if you want (see Magnolia’s BootstrapUtil class). Or you can go the new YAML-based route and not use bootstrap files at all. Whatever you do, please don’t go writing them yourself.
