Hi,

The folder structure should indeed be as follows: 
<module-name>/apps/<app-name>.yaml.

In case you're in a maven module, this goes under your src/main/resources 
directory.
In case you're in a "light" module, this goes under the magnolia resources 
directory, as configured in your magnolia.properties. By default this is the 
same as the magnolia home, i.e. the tomcat webapp directory.

Now, about the YAML example, since 5.4.1 we have a nice addition in the 
Configuration app: the "Download as Yaml" action.
Try it out with the contacts app node, at /modules/contacts/apps/contacts. This 
should be a good and rather complete starting point ;-)
