Hello,

today I tried to get on the Magnolia admin interface with IE8 because a lot of
users will use it this way. Now I have have a real big problem because it does
not seem to work with IE8.

The navigation is loading fine but the window with the page-tree doesn't
rescale (it is small and does not stretch over the whole site) and is empty,
but when I open it with Firefox it works fine. I also cannot click the icons
below it.

I tried it with a freshly downloaded and installed version of 4.5.7 but same
effect.

With version 4.3.8 it works perfectly fine in IE8.

The whole page was created using the new templatingsystem which was introduced
in 4.5 so I can't downgrade to 4.3.8 but I need it to work in IE8.

I tried to activate every system-configuration in IE8 but it makes no
difference.

There also appear to be some errors on the page. If I open them I get:
"mgnlMessages is undefined", "MgnlTextField" is undefined, "mgmlTree is
undefined", "mgnlTree is null or no object" and "mgnlFuctionBar is null or no
object", in version 4.3.8 they don't appear so I assume that this are the
reasons.

Is this a known bug? Does someone know which version above 4.5 works fine with
IE8 or how to fix the above mentioned errors?

Regards kbc
