Hi Richmond,

Probably not, because the offending file(s) need(s) to be installed in the Windows directory to be effective. A Mac doesn't have a Windows directory. Any guest OS's running in a virtual machine however may be affected.

I could imagine that other Office packages running on Windows machines may be vulnerable.

Kind regards,

" This ransomware is exploiting a vulnerability in Microsoft Office when
handling RTF documents"

Although the article seems to say that this thing only affects Windows I
wonder whether this thing can
do damage to Macs via Microsoft Office for Mac or opening one of these
RTF documents with one of the
other Office suites?

Richmond.
