A couple of years ago my nephew had just finished an intro programming class. I was showing him LC and he asked how I'd make a button. I dragged one onto a new card and put "beep" into the default mouseUp handler. It took about five seconds.
His jaw just dropped. He said one of his first class assignments was to create a button and it took him three days. I'm sure an experienced programmer could have cut down that time, but still... I can't remember what language they were using but it sure wasn't LC.
