Personally I always ascribe everything to my Grandfather for a number of very good reasons:

1. He was a highly skilled surgeon of impeccable reputation, and read for pleasure
in both Latin and Classical Greek.

2. He never wrote down anything except medical papers.

3. He died in 1975.

4. I love his memory still.

There's absolutely no way of checking; so that's got to be good.
