Reported and confirmed at
http://quality.livecode.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16642

But it doesn't affect all installs, and LC would welcome additional reports of setups (which edition, Community/Indy/Business, as well as OS) you're either seeing the problem or not.

Xubuntu 64 bit 14.04.3 LTS

DP 12: empty dictionary.

This is slightly unpleasant; as I have a feeling that all the bits of LiveCode are so interconnected that as soon as one sorts out one bug/problem/blip another one
seems to arise.

I have just found that the property inspector won't let me inspect groups;

mind you, to be fair, when I tried the same thing with DP 11 the whole computer
GUI froze until I hit the escape key.

So: I decided to try to open the cardScript of my "Garuda" stack, and got a jolly wheel that goes round and round and round, you are feeling sleepy, you think you are
a purple banana . . .

I created a blank stack with a bog-normal button and tried to see the scriptEditor via the menuBar, and got a jolly wheel that goes round and round and round, you are feeling
sleepy, you think you are a purple banana . . .

Same again via the contextual menu . . .

So, obviously quite a few 'issues', which is the word that I have to remember
now I have promised to be 'good' [don't believe that, 'cos you might just be
disappointed].

I hope that ALL at LiveCode will have suitably restorative Winter festivals
[Christmas, Pancha Ganapati, Yule, LiveCodeMass (Um; that's a thought), what-have-you; doesn't really matter as long as they are all pointing in the same direction (sorry, folks, I don't do sectarianism)] and not give a tuppenny @#$%^& about DP 12 until the 3rd of January at the earliest.

However, I would urge any Muslims who happen to read this to reflect on the very simple fact that a reading of both the Koran and the Hadith [sorry; I have only read sahih al-Bukhari and sahih al-Muslim] point to the fact that Islam (along with Christianity, Judaism, and every other religion except, possibly, Buddhism) has a thread of violence against unbelievers in them. This is not to denigrate Islam; but it is to point out that it is time for Muslims to acknowledge that fact (as Christians and Jews have already) and come to terms with it and reject it, and urge other Muslims to do the same. All religions pass through bigotted, violent patches, but it is time for Islam to get over that patch; now.
