Not for the first time, I’m trying to get to grips with XML. I have to analyse some fairly trivial files (.gpx files, which show a geographical position, elevation and time). I find the explanation in the LC User Guide pretty tough, partly because they leave out elementary stuff about how legal XML is formed, partly because it’s got errors in it, and partly because the example they use isn’t rich enough. Oh and partly because I am slow and grumpy about this particular subject.
Long ago, I know Sarah Reichelt wrote some kind of tutorial but I can’t find it. Can anyone help with this or any other ‘XML for dummies’ type stuff? I just want to do simple things like put attributes into arrays.
