Hi Andrew, Turns out SQLite added a user authentication extension in 10/2014 that requires a password to access an SQLite database but it's not part of the SQLite library provided with Livecode. It has to be compiled into the source and a compile time flag set to enable it
See http://www.sqlite.org/src/doc/trunk/ext/userauth/user-auth.txt I recently added a QCC request to update the SQLite library which is now about 8 months and several releases old, including the addition of this feature.
