Would seem easy enough to test your theory. Insert the second line of code, the one that reads the cprop, in a try statement. If it catches an error wait 5 seconds (just to really test your theory) and issue the command again. For those not having the problem they are not burdened with a wait, those that are you'll soon know if it fixes the problem. If so you could test various wait periods to see what is the shortest that consistently solves the problem.
