Looking at the kSign UI, it says "All signatures are timestamped by Comodo's
timestamp server" (Comodo being the organization that issues the certificate
you buy through ksoftware.) In other words, the timestamp process is
seamless if you use the kSign tool.

One last point -- you need to codesign your standalone exe, plus any dlls,
externals or helper apps that your standalone uses. Then, as the last steps,
build and codesign your installer.
