You're in good company - back in '98 when Stanford's John Ousterhout was still working at Sun, in his seminal paper "Scripting: Higher-
Level Programming for the 21st Century" he wrote:

   Scripting languages are sometimes referred to as
   glue languages or system integration languages.


A good paper worth reading for many reasons - everything he writes there about Tcl applies to LC even more so:
