There are two definitions of upgrade:

Upgrade, n. In software, a new version of an application that
introduces features you don't need and removes features you use all
the time.

Upgrade, n. In software, a new version of an application with a new set
of bugs that are even more unexpected and serious than the ones the
user has been accustomed to.
