Good idea with the forum post. We may find others in the community who have the time and interest to devote to maintaining a PPC build while the core team and RunRev keeps their attention on their own ROI.
This is how it's done with Ubuntu, and with TenFourFox, the community-driven PPC build of Firefox.
This is one of the reasons I like open source: nothing can be EOL'd as long as there are enough people who want it.
