Oh yay! Double yay! It now works both with and without "put". It was
making me crazy.
It's somewhat fixed. There's still an errant breakpoint in the message
field script, but after hitting the breakpoint it works with and
without the "put".
? I didn't hit a breakpoint, it just worked. I only tested it briefly
though.
