Hey Klaus, that actually works quite well and it's a lot easier than
wrestling with the imageData of a snapshot. I wonder why the
screenMouseLoc is not mentioned as a related item in the documentation
for the mouseLoc?

you could try to:

set the ScreenMouseLoc to X,Y ## your position here
put the mousecolor into tColorAtScreenLoc
