Ha, Ha, Ha; the old trick of trying to lock out the competition rears its ugly
head again.
"officially supported" means, I think, that those are the only apps that Microsoft will
put their resources into updating and trouble-shooting. Does it really also mean you can't run
other apps? The only apps that Apple "officially supports" are the native Mac apps, but
that doesn't mean you can't run Firefox. Or LC.

Um . . . well (and the other question about how reliable stuff on
Wikipedia is, is also there) it seems
that Microsoft is doing its best to keep out externally authored apps.
