Need examples. If myVariable contained "card one of this stack" I should be able to say
get the long id of myvariable This works when I test it. Without knowing specifics on what you variable *actually* contains and not what you *think* it contains, I'm afraid there isn't much more advice I can give, or anyone else for that matter.
