I'm using the revOpenDatabase() function, which *should* know what it's doing.

The same command works to open a mysql database on my dreamhost
account, but dreamhost only allows dbs to be created from the panel,
which is a non-starter.  ALso, they only have mySql, not postgresql,
another problem
