I have seen direct responses from developers many times in MacUpdate. These 
responses have been extremely useful, not only to clear out misunderstandings 
reported by users, by also to let others see how the developers deal with their 
customers. Indeed, if RunRev had posted a response to some of the comments 
there, it may prove useful in attracting more people willing to try out the 
product.
