You can use an image or a group as a button; in fact I almost never use
buttons as buttons; much preferring to use images so I can guarantee they
look the same across different systems and computers.
After all, you can have a script:
on mouseUp
put "This works!"
end mouseUp
in a group just as well as you can in a button.
