Colin,

I think we could use some help from RR on this problem. It would be helpful 
also if they were to educate us  on the new animation features and performance 
improvements in 5.0. How might we best implement these features.

It is clear that they haven't resolve the refresh problem on the Mac. What do 
they advise as a work-around?

I am envious of the kind of graphics on display in applications such as Flight 
Control. The plane icons move about with exquisite smoothness. (I never thought 
I would speak of smoothness as being exquiisite. Frustration with animation on 
the Mac, I guess.)
