Doug Ruisaard: > I don’t think that if SEVERAL people called me > and said there was a fire at my business office, > that my response would be, “I’ll deal with it after the holidays”.
Yes - but I'd rather LiveCode think this through carefully... A real fix is needed; not just hasty emotional reassurances, promotions, personal favors, or threats to like it or else. Those very briefly distract people from a problem, but long term, it hurts everyone. Compounding it - Some people get tempted to throw other users, and new users, under the bus if they might get a personal exception. Self-defeating to forget morals! Likewise echo chambers; problems not fixed come back even worse. Thanks for speaking up. Craig Newman: > Is there any other company that places its users > in such a peculiar position? > Is there some large marketplace of users > for which these issues are in fact non-issues? ... You have a great way of wording questions. Yes - it is bizarre. But either way, we have successfully raised the topic. That helps LiveCode re-evaluate extreme plans. And mostly a good discussion; almost like the old days! No one has said they want / love a kill switch. Pretty obvious... Bright future / new year... Happy Holy-days of Christ's Mass!
