[A bit of a rant - please skip if it bothers you]
Your LiveCode subscription to
LiveCode Create Universal with complementary LiveCode 10 (Classic)
is set to renew in 7 days on 2025-12-10. Your card ending xxxx will be charged
GBP 528.00 on this date. This amount is quoted excluding any VAT or sales tax
that may need to be applied.
I find it really annoying to renew my subscription for a product that
barely works, is largely undocumented, is full of holes (i.e. "that
doesn't quite work yet, sorry for the inconvenience").
Of course it's a DP, so I am totally comfortable with bugs and reporting
them - but looking at two of its biggest features, I see
- AI : promising, but a long way to go
- datastore : undocumented, and apparently still waiting for many more
actions to be implemented
Also:
Dataviews - I don't even know what those are. I think there was a
description somewhere, but I think it was on the old web site, and is
(apparently) no longer viewable on the new site.
Tutorials : maybe on the old site ? or very hidden.
Examples and samples : non-existent?
Templates : "coming soon"
Of course, having ranted, I'll pay the subscription because I need the
"complementary LC 10" - but don't take my renewal to imply I am happy.
