I wouldn't include code inside the repeat that only needs to happen once,
like setting the backColor.
repeat with x=1 to 100
put "a"&x into tVeld
enable fld tVeld
put empty into fld tVeld
end repeat
set the backgroundcolor of fld tVeld to white
