Hello Ludovic, Which file explorer app do you use? As of Android 13, apps that need to access media files that other apps have created, must request one or more of the following granular media permissions instead of the READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission:
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES READ_MEDIA_VIDEO READ_MEDIA_AUDIO So I assume the file explorer app you use might still use the (deprecated) READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission. But this is just a guess. RE the other issue with gmail - I suggest you file a bug report and attach a sample stack and we will investigate.
