Paul, the subject of Charles post is a bit misleading. The problem does not have to do with the menu.
Charles problem is the following. He stored several PDF files on macOS as custom properties. His program allows the user to save the PDF to hard disk using a menu entry. The command for creating the PDF is put the PDFfile1 of this stack into URL “binfile:……..“ When the PDF is saved on macOS the PDF is readable (on Windows and macOS), when the PDF is saved on Windows, a PDF with blank pages is created. I am not sure, if this maybe has to do with encoding or so?
