Henry, i had a similar problem already with previous LC releases. In my case a 3rd party tool called Popclip was the culprit. Popclip is automatically activated as soon as some text is selected. So when i selected text in the editor some strange things happened, for example the whole text was selected and so on. Fortunately Popclip allows to exclude apps from being monitored by it, so i just had to add Livecode to the list of apps that should be excluded from PopClip actions.
