Sean, I wonder if you used http without ssl, but did 256 bit encryption and decryption at source and in the php connecting to mysql. I posted a link to a sample stack using this method awhile back. It’s pretty simple. I am traveling and not at my computer, but if you searched the emails for the last few weeks on “earthlearningsolutions”, you would find it.
