Thanks for the tip. I did file a request but it lists as a bug not an enhancement. Maybe I did something wrong, sorry about that. Posted as # 22919 I think it is mostly just allowing a selectable host IP or FQDN. Many third party object stores with S3 compatibility also default to Region: us-east-1, though that might need to be selectable as well?
