In iOS 13 I thought all apps run in the background automatically. Mine isn't, you end up on the login screen every time you switch apps or answer a phone call.

We used to be able to turn on "enable background execution" in standalone settings but as I understand it, Apple now rejects apps that use that. How would I get my app to stop shutting down every time you leave it? Or am I wrong about the background option in standalone settings?
