altho it is much easier to create one code for several platforms in LC, then 
for example in C, it's still a huge annoyance to deal with platform specifics.

just think about saving stuff on desktops. you need to use a two- (or 
three-)way platform switch just for the default location to save to. when the 
application closes, and you want to make sure work is saved, you need to use 
three different approaches to really catch all quit-scenarios. and then there's 
the (only recently added) unsaved document marker for mac os x.  and there's a 
lot more of these pitfalls. on mobile it's even worse, because of the complete 
lack of native widgets (unless you're making games).

now these things are small adjustments compared to (for example) java or even 
flash. but still, they can be annoying enough to make the adverspeek of 
"develop once, run everywhere" sound very grating.
