I've not used FreeBSD but two data points. 

A guy in the building where I live runs an online business that gets lots of 
hack attacks and he long ago switched to FreeBSD for his servers because in his 
experience it is way more secure than any of the Linux distros. 

Secondly, a friend of mine who has held high level behind the scenes technical 
networking positions for a very large company (to say he knows his stuff is an 
understatement) has been involved with FreeBSD for years because he appreciates 
the security reviews and completeness of the code that gets submitted into 
FreeBSD. It's what he runs for his personal servers.

I have no idea how big the market is for FreeBSD installations of LiveCode, but 
the OS has an excellent reputation as a server.
