The part in the article about saving to the user's documents folder is handy to 
know. As it happens, at least on my machine I am allowed to do the save even if 
the application is in Applications.

I picked up on this topic because I am about to need to do the same thing, only 
on an iPad, and there I am expecting to have to go to more trouble. Also, there 
will be an advantage I suspect in doing a clone of the stack to the documents 
folder, because it ought to survive an application update.
