Well, although I wouldn't recommend it (nor would I appreciate it as a
user) you could always start up using the entire screen without a
title bar, similar to the backdrop in LiveCode. Better of course, you
could start with a small, minimum size, then allow normal resizing,
with the last option being full screen mode as mentioned.
I suspect I would be assaulted by all sorts of people: imagine being
done to death
by a thousand cuts from OEM Windows CDs . . . :)
That at least would be a little more user friendly while covering all
of the bases... and without all of the blasted multi-platform geometry
headaches.
