Hi,
On a slightly different topic, why do people link to MacUpdate that often? Why
not the developer's site? I notice it, not only in this thread, but also other
threads and other mailing lists and forums. Why not just click through to the
dev's site and post that link?

Yes; you are quite right, of course! Well, having been corrected I went
to the
dev's site and, to be honest, learnt nothing I didn't already know
beyond that
it is NOT cross-platform.
I do hope Kevin, Mark and Co. are not waking up in the night with cold
sweats;
it is certainly not worth it for Baycard.
The list of 'widgets' looks just like the list of Controls from
Livecode; the only difference
(and it is a signal difference) is that they are precoded with "Daddy
knows best code"
and I, at least, have outgrown that mentality a while back (although to
be fair to my
Father, I respect him and his opinions greatly). One cannot dive beneath
the widgets
and fiddle around with the underpinnings . . . leaves me cold.

OK, OK; I did get mildly interested in 'Rich Text Editors'. And, one
would suppose that
a paragraphable (wow; is that a real word?) text field might be
somewhere on the horizon for
Livecode. Why do I remember mentioning something similar re Supercard a
few years back?
