Hi Mike, you need to create the new object when you are editing the group. Here's how. Using the pointer tool select one of the objects in your background group. This should frame the whole group (of objects) with a large box (outlined with a few square points - 8 or 9 I think). At this point select "Edit Group" from the icon menu bar. The name in the window bar (for the card) should change to the name of your background group. Technically any other object not in your background should also disappear, but it all of your objects are in the background you won't see any change... only the change in the window title will alert you to the fact that you are now editing the background. Now, anything you create or add to the card will be added to the existing background (note: I think it is real hard to add an existing object to the background, I think you just have to create it at this point). Hope this helps. -- Mark -- View this message in context: http://runtime-revolution.278305.n4.nabble.com/Obvious-Way-To-Add-To-Group-tp3062095p3062128.html Sent from the Revolution - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ use-livecode mailing list use-livecode@lists.runrev.com Please visit this url to subscribe, unsubscribe and manage your subscription preferences: http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-livecode
