Agreed.
Evince is an application, it just happens that the same UI is suitable for a few types of content. We shouldn't be adding video support to evince or anything like that.
Evince is an application technically, but it puts the emphasis on the document, not on the application. Not adding video support to evince is evident, since totem is better suited to those types of content.
