Please pardon - I'm not sure how to reply or close the bug. The instructions you provided previously were followed, and the problem was overcome as a result. All has been running OK since I followed the instructions to your fix. Upgraded to Karmic OK after fix. Sorry for leaving it "open". Terry Connell
