Correct, lucid will only support python2.6 - that means that the Debian
package, which calls python2.5 explicitly, *must* be patched to be
buildable and usable in lucid.
So I'm marking this bug as invalid, since the package must not be synced
in its current form. Feel free to reopen the bug and re-propose it as a
merge if you wish to prepare a patch.
