+1 for paginating applications. Personally, I never use the Unity homepage. The only time I ever use unity is to find applications. All the other stuff is extraneous to me and seems like a duplication of functions that exist elsewhere. Regardless of my unity habits, I do think that applications need to take the forefront since that seems to be unity's primary role.
