I really think that isn't a clean way to go . The current system works very well and in terms of getting to the application - I've had the idea for some time now to have notification history , and that can integrate redirecting to the app . For example an entry in the system menu (top right corner) that expands into a list of the last n notifications (and maybe the last entry in that being a "See all notifications" , which opens the list in a simple window) . Thoughts ?
