The compiz scale plugin seems to be lacking some important
functionality in ubuntu. I recall in older versions of compiz, in
scale when you moused over windows you got some feedback (when you
mouse over a window, the window title would overlay over the window,
and you would get a close button, this is how Gnome-shell and kwin's
scale works).
In ubuntu there is zero feedback when mousing over windows in scale,
and seemingly no way to close a window in scale, like you can in
gnome-shell. I think this behavior is a little confusing, and could be
easily improved. Both gnome-shell and kwin's scale equivalents are
good examples of better functionality.
I have no problem with the scale , but I have the crucial intel that
windows close on middle click . Having additional info on hover would be
a plus , I agree . There should also be a way to hint users of the
middle click trick .
