I've been running trusty as my default desktop over the last month and it
behaves very different on real hardware, now I've got back to saucy because
I've been having problems on my VM but in the end there were VM's version
compatibility problems I belive(I had the same problems on saucy). It worked
fine and apport sent lots of reports automatically on problems that I wouldn't
notice on my own.

Thats my experince using trusty as my default desktop for daily use.

I had everything backed up or stored in another partition.
