New question #79309 on linux in ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+question/79309

My speed off the Realtek 8111DL chip (Gigabyte mb: GA-MA790XT-UD4P) is maxing
out downloads at 10 mbit. I'm rated at 20/5. I tested the line on another
computer and I'm able to get 20/5.
According to the manual for this mb, the lan led is orange which means it
should be downloading at 1000 mbit (not that I can achieve that, but it's
maxed) . But speed test shows otherwise.

$ lshw -C net
