It sounds like you need technical support to identify what the issue is.
>From the limited information provided it could be anything and it's
impossible to guess. Please work with askubuntu.com or ubuntuforums
first to figure out a workaround and to get a better understanding of
the issue.
Also note that while the Long Term Support option is still being
supported with technical support (see www.ubuntu.com/support), we're no
longer doing active development work on it. Currently our development
activities focus on Natty. If you are able to test the natty CD and
find it still produces the problem, then we can investigate the issue as
part of our Natty development work.
