Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
Hi, thanks for looking at this. My laptop offers a HDMI port that I've used to add a 2nd monitor. After upgrading to 10.10, multiple monitors stopped working. The gnome- display-properties program kept giving an error "Please log out and log back in again" when adjusting the monitor sizes. I was able to turn both resolutions down to 640x480 and get it to work. After that, I kept getting the error trying to turn up the laptop monitor. Disabling the external monitor bypassed this error. After upping the resolution of the laptop monitor, I reenabled the 2nd monitor. I got the same error when trying to place the 2nd monitor to the left. I was able to place it below the lcd monitor. Anyways, bit of trouble. Thanks for looking at this, let me know if I can help.
