Sorry for not thinking about it before, but it would probably be handy if you report a new bug with "ubuntu-bug xorg" while using the new kernel, to have all information attached, then make it a duplicate of this one. Usually one can use apport-collect as well, but I am not sure what happens to the info embedded in the bug description...
