Doesn't seem to be fixed for me... I have the exact same problem that is described at the beginning:
"After suspend-resume with an external monitor and a laptop (embedded intel graphics), display settings are set to 'mirror screens'. The user must enter the Display preferences and re-configure the screens." I'm on an up-to-date 10.04 64-bit lucid system. What I can see, also, is that the screen is set to "mirror screens" during suspend, and not resume.
